AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES
BEHCET'S SYNDROME

It is an inflammatory disorder of unknown aetiology ,most probably with an auto immune cause, manifesting as recurrent aphthus ulcerations in the mouth, genitalulcers, eyelesions and skin lesions.

Persons with HLABI hav strong predilection to develop behcet's syndrome, the basic pathophysiological process is small vessel vasculitis ,autoimmune responses and hyperfunction of neutrophils, thus increased lysosome production.
Sometimes disease may present with joint manifestations such as arthritis.gatrointestinal features include abdominal pain, vomitting of blood, also some neurological manifestations such as motor and psychiatric disturbances
It is not necessary that behcet's syndrome should present with all manifestations, most comonly it may present as oral ulcers in the form of aphthae, then genital ulcers ,skin lesions. The peculiarity is recurrence.

homoepathic treatment-as we know ,homoeopathy treats the person ,not the disease site. In this system of medicine individual peculiarities of the person is also taken into account to prescribe a constitutional remedy. This is based on patients desires, aversions, sleep, dreams etc.Homoeopathy has good possibilities to alleviate the manifestations of autoimmuity without any side effects.
